It had been a while since we had seen each other and a lot happened in our personal lives, but one of the biggest things that has happened is Levi getting a job. We had no idea how this was going to affect us as she would be working and despite having extra money she also had a new horse to care for. I'm unsure if I have mentioned before, but Levi has horses.
4th April, Friday
Friday was basically spent travelling. So there was all the fun of changing trains with a bit of a headache, but the excitement of seeing her again kept the worst of it at bay. When I saw her, everything felt alright again and I could smile.
5th April, Saturday
I didn't see her all day as she was at work but it was okay because I went shopping with her mum, had a coffee and a chat about things and then was there for Levi when she was done at work.
After we picked her up from work, we headed to the stables and I saw her new horse. She (the horse) was beautiful. Very much like one I used to ride when I was younger.
After sorting out the food, a little training and brushing the horses we headed home for food and snuggles.
6th April, Sunday
As the Monday was Levi's little sister birthday, it was time for a family meal. A lot of family turned up that i hadn't met before and it was an experience. I had never known children so loud. After a few minutes waiting for the family to arrive we headed to a pub for lunch. Unfortunately with the size of the party (13 - unlucky for some) we couldn't get in at the original place, so ended up going to Frankie and Bennies which was only next door.
Levi took me to Frankie and Bennies a while ago and I loved it so I couldn't wait for more and it didn't disappoint. I love food. We both love food.
After eating we went to the horses again to show Levi's nan's her new horse. They loved them, and was surprised how timid they were.
7th April, Monday
We were awoken at 7:30am by a very excited eight year old shouting at us that it was her birthday and we had to get up so she could open her presents. Very reluctantly we got up and dragged ourselves in Levi's mum's room only to be greeted by Levi's sister surrounded by gifts. It was so sweet.
As it was so early we struggled to stay awake and napped for an hour or so hoping that the rain would ease so we could go out. I was tired yet giddy with excitement because Levi had planned a surprise for me, and I'm normally the one who plans surprises. Unfortunately when we woke up the rain was still coming down and hammering on the windows so we couldn't go to the one place. However, we went into the town near Levi's and went for Nando's then shopped.
Well I shopped and spoilt Levi. I brought her a lovely dress which she has said she is going to wear for Pride in Birmingham next month and some nail varnish. With buying myself things as well my bank balance was sad. Just looking at it made me feel sick, I cannot believe how much I spent that day.
Finally the spending ended with a trip to Costa (anyone that knows me knows I cannot stand Costa, but as near Levi there isn't a Starbucks a Costa had to do the job.)
We ended the day snuggled up watching Frozen which was amazing.
8th April, Tuesday
Normally the day I go home is full of tears and snuggles but today was surprise day. HIPHIPHOORAY!!
She wouldn't tell me anything about the surprise, only that we had to get a train and change somewhere. I watched through the window as we passed every station we had got off previously, and Levi said that she hadn't been this far out on the train before - only buses. We arrived at our change station and had to buy our tickets as Levi's home station doesn't have a ticket booth thing. This was when I found out the town we were heading to. It rang a bell for something, but I wasn't sure why.
As we waited for our change train, it was chilly so I brought us the scrummiest hot chocolate. It had cream, crushed Oreo and marshmallows on. It ended up huge, I carefully drank mine trying not to get a cream moustache but Levi had to eat her cream ect with a spoon and then continued to use the spoon to drink her hot chocolate.
After a very short train journey we arrived at the town, walked up a huge hill which seemed to last forever and used my phone as a sat nav. Levi felt like we were going the wrong way so we had to get good ol' Google maps out. As we walked up the hill I spotted a sign post, it had a logo I recognised and made me hope we were going there.
As we got closer the signposts became more frequent and I began to get excited. We turned into some gates and yes! We were going to the signposted place. It was a decent trek through the grounds to the house and dedicated gardens but Levi had taken me to a National Trust house and gardens. It was so beautiful and well worth the walk, she really does know what I like so well.
*Hums he knows me so well tune*
After a few hours spent at the place we had to get the train back to hers. That was when it began to hit us both, I had to go home and I didn't want to go. We potentially had 50 days before seeing each other at Birmingham Pride, but we both knew that we couldn't do that. It was going to be too hard. I have no idea how couples like Kaelyn and Lucy spend nearly half the year apart.
After sitting in her room, cuddling and teary eyed we spoke about spending a weekend together early may. So now we need to see when we can do that and make it plausible.
